VERSE ONE:
This one might hurt - discussing my own worth.
Call myself "worthless" and worse around the clock. It's a terse
relationship with myself. Perception's not down to earth.
I'm trying to get grounded, surf the feelings my mind exerts.
Yeah, cursed is how I feel - my fate is sealed. The worst
isn't what I am, but feel I can't ever see the girth of my
accomplishments, tarnishing all the things I birth.
All the things I birth are examples that my things never work.
Try to rework the image. Sweep shit under a rug.
Keep stuff up in a closet. That shit is never love -
it's from a place of fear. I fear I'm never done
finding another angle to hammer in "I'm not enough"
into my brain matter. That chatter I'm trying to plug -
or unplug. It's tough to change, but one must.
They may start small, but they get large - that's the crux:
fake tales - they harm when they become facts you trust.

There are evil tales we won't fail to tell ourselves -
like we’re faulty or adversity never gets repelled.
Yo, there’s nothing you can say worse than what I tell myself.
We all have mean little myths that need to get dispelled.

VERSE TWO:
There's a grand narrative that you've been building
of yourself that started since back when you were children.
Some of it's made up of facts, other bits are fiction.
And the fake stuff is made up to help curate the vision
you want people to see. It fills gaps and voids - uncertainty's destroyed. But chat in extremes
means growth won't proceed. It's easy to be victims
of our own success. These stories become religion -
like: "I can't plan shit - never make good decisions"
or "Computers hate me" or "I'm bad with children."
These statements are prisons - limitations we live in.
Be clinging to bad shit - balance is that missing piece.
Include that good-good in your tale. Believe
you can handle what concerns you, not just concede
that you're worm food. Learn new ways to live.
It's ok to make a mistake, but you're not one - that's not a myth.
